Agreement Overview

These Terms of Service govern your use of Twin Star Energy's website and cabinet refacing, refinishing, and installation services. By engaging our services or using our website, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Service Definitions

Twin Star Energy provides the following cabinet services:

  • Cabinet Refacing: Replacement of cabinet doors, drawer fronts, and hardware while retaining existing cabinet boxes
  • Cabinet Refinishing: Stripping, sanding, staining, and finishing of existing cabinet surfaces
  • Custom Installation: Design and installation of new custom cabinet systems
  • Hardware Replacement: Installation of new handles, knobs, hinges, and drawer slides
  • Cabinet Repair: Restoration and repair of damaged cabinet components

Service Agreement Process

Consultation and Estimate

All projects begin with a free in-home consultation where we:

  • Assess your current cabinet condition and requirements
  • Discuss design preferences and material options
  • Take precise measurements and photographs
  • Provide a detailed written estimate within 48 hours

Contract Execution

Upon acceptance of our estimate, a formal service contract will be executed that includes project specifications, timeline, materials, pricing, and payment terms. Work will not commence until the signed contract and required deposit are received.

Pricing and Payment Terms

Pricing Structure

Our pricing is based on:

  • Project scope and complexity
  • Materials selected (wood species, finishes, hardware)
  • Kitchen size and cabinet configuration
  • Additional services requested

Payment Schedule

Standard payment terms include:

  • Deposit: 50% due upon contract signing
  • Progress Payment: 25% due at project midpoint
  • Final Payment: 25% due upon project completion and approval

We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. Payment is due within the timeframes specified in your service contract.

Project Timeline and Scheduling

Project timelines vary based on service type:

  • Cabinet Refacing: 3-5 business days
  • Cabinet Refinishing: 4-6 business days
  • Custom Installation: 7-10 business days
  • Hardware Replacement: 1-2 business days

Timelines may be extended due to material delivery delays, weather conditions, or unforeseen complications discovered during the project. We will communicate any delays promptly and work to minimize disruption.

Materials and Workmanship

Material Quality

We use only premium materials including solid wood doors, quality hardware, and professional-grade finishes. All materials meet or exceed industry standards for durability and appearance.

Workmanship Standards

Our work is performed by experienced craftsmen following industry best practices. We maintain clean work areas, protect your home during the project, and ensure all installations meet professional standards.

Warranty Coverage

Comprehensive Warranty

Twin Star Energy provides a 3-year warranty covering:

  • Workmanship defects in installation and finishing
  • Material defects in doors, hardware, and finishes
  • Proper operation of doors, drawers, and hardware
  • Finish integrity under normal use conditions

Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear from daily use
  • Damage from misuse, abuse, or accidents
  • Damage from water, heat, or chemical exposure
  • Modifications made by others after completion
  • Natural wood characteristics such as grain variation

Customer Responsibilities

To ensure successful project completion, customers are responsible for:

  • Providing clear access to work areas
  • Removing personal items from cabinets and work areas
  • Ensuring utilities (electricity, water) are available
  • Making timely payments according to contract terms
  • Communicating any concerns promptly during the project
  • Conducting final inspection and approval upon completion

Change Orders and Modifications

Any changes to the original project scope must be documented in writing and approved by both parties. Additional work will be priced separately and may affect the project timeline. Change orders require approval before work proceeds.

Limitation of Liability

Twin Star Energy's liability is limited to the cost of repair or replacement of defective work or materials. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the total contract amount.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from our services will first be addressed through direct communication. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in Colorado under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

Cancellation Policy

Project cancellation terms:

  • Before work begins: Full refund minus 10% administrative fee
  • After materials ordered: Refund minus material costs and 20% administrative fee
  • After work commenced: Payment due for completed work and materials

Force Majeure

Twin Star Energy is not liable for delays or inability to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government regulations, material shortages, or other unforeseeable events.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado. Any legal proceedings will be conducted in the appropriate courts of Colorado.
